Poster Guidelines

All poster presenters are requested to print their posters by themselves. Please refer to the section 4 “Copy Shop” below for a copy shop available around the venue.

1. Date and Time

Poster Presentation: 2nd day of the spring school (February 27th), 17.30-19.30

2. Location

Musiksaal, Institute of Musicology, University of Cologne

All poster presenters are requested to hang their poster in Musiksaal before the poster presentation session. The poster boards and pins for fixing the posters will be available from the first day.

3. Poster

A poster board is approximately 150cm*120cm (W*H). An A0 size poster (84.1cm*118.9cm) fits in both horizontally and vertically.

The poster should be in the size between A1 and A0.

4. Copy Shop

A copy shop is located just across the street from our university library.

Printing an A0/A1 poster usually takes approximately 10 minutes. The prices for color printing is 20 euros for A0 size and 15 euros for A1 size.

(Please note that the printing service at the University of Cologne is available only for the students and the employees of University of Cologne.)

5. Abstracts

The abstracts of the poster presentations will be published on the website and conference App. All poster presenters are requested to submit the final, camera-ready version of their abstract by February 11th, 2018 via the submission form.

Figures and tables can be included in the abstract. Please give the numbers (and legends if necessary) to each figure appropriately. For example:

6. Audio Guide (on App)

All the poster presenters are requested to submit the audio guide of their poster by Friday, February 23, 2018.

The audio guides of the posters are the audio files in which poster presenters briefly explained their posters. The audio guides aim to invite participants to the posters outside of the poster sessions and to help the poster presenters to get a chance to learn from the other poster presentations. The audio guides will be available on the conference app (a download instruction and a passcode will be announced at registration).

The sound file should be submitted as an mp3 file. It should not exceed 3 minutes, and should contain the brief explanation of your poster. The sound file should be submitted via submission form.
