Immersive Audio Studio

The Immersive Audio Studio is currently under construction. In the near future, it will provide lecturers and students a state-of-the-art immersive 5.1.4 production and hearing environment. As the modern follow-up to the former Klangstudio, it will not only allow to play works of electroacoustic music from the institute’s extensive archive, but also to listen to or to create contemporary immersive music productions (e.g., in Dolby Atmos) using an international standard (ITU-R BS.2159-9). This provides the institute with its own professional audio platform for musicological teaching and research.
